Eyeshadow is primarily applied to the eyelid and makes the eyes stand out. An eyeshadow finish refers to the way the eyeshadow looks after application and how light reflects the colour. There are a variety of finishes in eyebrow application:
- Matte Finish – A matte finish is smooth, but not shiny. It is a flat finish and has little or no light reflection. It is good for contouring.
- Satin Finish – A satin finish has a subtle shine. It falls between matte and high shine. This is good for highlighting.
- Frost finish – A frost finish has high shine and the pigment intensifies the look.
- Glitter Finish – An eyeshadow with a glitter finish contains particles with glitter particles which sparkle.This finish has an element of fun and boldness.
