A contra-indication prevents a facial treatment from being carried out or restricts the way the treatment can be done. A Contra-action is an undesirable result of the treatment. It happens as a result of a negative effect of a product on a client’s skin.

Scabies | Scabies occur due to infestation of the skin by mites. It results in an itchy red rash on the skin. | |
Pediculosis | A parasitic infestation due to head lice. They cause itching and sores may develop and get infected due to scratching of the itch. | |
Eczema | Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, is characterized by dry itchy patches on the skin. | |
Hyperkeratosis | This occurs as a thickening of the upper layer of the skin. | |
Stye | An inflamed pus filled lump at the outer edge of the eyelid. |
